Father John Chlebo

Pastor

Fr. John Chlebo is the pastor of St. Christopher Parish. He grew up in the West Park neighborhood of Cleveland at St. Mark Parish. Fr. John completed his seminary studies and was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Cleveland in 1980. He has served as an Associate Pastor at Ss. Cosmas and Damian in Twinsburg, St. Wenceslas in Maple Heights, St. Richard in North Olmsted and St. Anthony of Padua in Parma. Bishop Pilla appointed Fr. John as pastor of St. Christopher Parish on July 1, 1997. While pastor here, Fr. John pursued a course of continuing education and received a Doctor of Ministry Degree from St. Mary Seminary in 2003. In addition to his assignment as pastor, Fr. John currently serves St. Mary Seminary as a member of the Board of Trustees, an adjunct faculty member in the Doctor of Ministry Program and as a field education supervisor for seminarians assigned to St. Christopher. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, dining out and playing golf.

Father Tim Daw

Parochial Vicar

A native Clevelander and one of seven children Fr. Tim was born December 2, 1956. He is a middle child of five boys and two girls who grew up learning and appreciating the importance of his Catholic faith and religion from two Irish Catholic parents William and Adelaine Daw.

Fr. Tim has an undergraduate degree in Psychology/ Adolescent and Family Counseling from Saint Meinrad College, Indiana. He holds graduate degrees in theology: a Masters of Divinity from Saint Mary Seminary and Graduate School in Cleveland; and a Masters in Liturgical Studies from the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago.

Prior to joining the Diocese of Cleveland Father Tim was a Franciscan Friar of the Cincinnati Province. He worked in such places as the inner city of Peoria, Illinois with adolescents and needy families; The Diocese of Detroit, studied in Chicago and has been a missionary, teaching children and working with families on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Arizona.

Ordained a priest by Bishop Pilla on June 25th 1991 Father Tim has worked in the Office for Pastoral Liturgy in the Diocese of Cleveland as well as serving as a priest in a number of our parishes. His first parish assignment was St. Bernadette in Westlake. He then moved to St. Ignatius of Antioch in Cleveland for seven years and at that time was also appointed as Presbyterial Moderator for Annunciation Parish on 130th for eight years. Fr. Tim is presently the Parochial Vicar of Saint Christopher Parish where he has lived and prayed with us along with his dog ACE for the last eight years.

Deacon Tom Long

Permanent Deacon

Deacon Tom is a lifelong parishioner of St. Christopher.  His grandparents moved into the parish in the 1920′s and his parents were married here in 1943.  He graduated from St. Christopher School, St. Edward High School, and received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Physics from John Carroll University.  After working for various corporations throughout the greater Cleveland area, Deacon Tom taught physics at both Benedictine High School and Magnificat High School.

Before ordination to the diaconate, Deacon Tom served as the president of the PTU and as chairman of the Parish Pastoral Council.  He also was a lector and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and the Parish Choir of which he is still a member.  He was called to Diaconate Formation by Bishop Richard Lennon in the fall of 2006.  On May 1, 2010 he was ordained to the sacred order of deacons by Bishop Lennon and assigned to St. Christopher parish.

Deacon Tom is married to his wife Kathy and they have three children, Brigid, Matt, and Tim who are also graduates of St. Christopher School.
