Mrs. Melissa Stern
Eighth Grade Teacher
Mrs. Stern graduated from Ashland University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She is licensed to teach grades 1-8 and has a reading endorsement that allows her to teach reading in grades K-12. She teaches seventh and eighth grade English in addition to eighth grade homeroom subjects. She enjoys preparing students for high school and watching them grow academically, spiritually and physically. She is grateful for the parents’ support of her work at St. Christopher School and credits parent involvement as part of why her students do so well academically and on standardized tests.
Prior to joining the St. Christopher School faculty, Mrs. Stern taught Junior High as well as fourth and fifth grades over the 16 years she was at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic School in Lakewood.
Mrs. Stern and her husband, Bill, will be empty nesters soon as their youngest child goes off to college. Together they have three children – two of which are following Mrs. Stern into the education field. The Stern’s are members of St. Christopher parish and active in the community
