Father John Chlebo

Fr. John Chlebo is the pastor of St. Christopher Parish. He grew up in the West Park neighborhood of Cleveland at St. Mark Parish. Fr. John completed his seminary studies and was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Cleveland in 1980. He has served as an Associate Pastor at Ss. Cosmas and Damian in Twinsburg, St. Wenceslas in Maple Heights, St. Richard in North Olmsted and St. Anthony of Padua in Parma. Bishop Pilla appointed Fr. John as pastor of St. Christopher Parish on July 1, 1997. While pastor here, Fr. John pursued a course of continuing education and received a Doctor of Ministry Degree from St. Mary Seminary in 2003. In addition to his assignment as pastor, Fr. John currently serves St. Mary Seminary as an adjunct faculty member in the Doctor of Ministry Program and as a field education supervisor for seminarians assigned to St. Christopher. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, dining out and playing golf.
Father Tim Daw

Born in Cleveland Fr. Tim is a middle child of five boys and two girls who grew up learning and appreciating the importance of his Catholic faith from two Irish Catholic parents. Prior to becoming a priest in the Diocese of Cleveland Father Tim was a Franciscan Friar of the Cincinnati Province.
Father Tim has a degree in Psychology/ Adolescent and Family Counseling from Saint Meinrad College, Indiana. He holds graduate degrees in theology: a Masters in Liturgical Studies from the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago; and a Masters of Divinity from Saint Mary Seminary and Graduate School Cleveland.
Ordained a priest by Bishop Pilla June 25th 1991 Fr. Tim has worked in the Office for Pastoral Liturgy in the Diocese of Cleveland as well as serving as a parish priest. His first parish assignment was Saint Bernadette in Westlake. He then moved to Saint Ignatius of Antioch in Cleveland for seven years and also appointed Presbyterial Moderator for Annunciation Parish Cleveland for eight years. Father Tim was assigned to Saint Christopher Parish March 2003.
Deacon Dennis Conrad

Dennis was assigned at St. Christopher Parish as his first assignment after his ordination on May 2, 2015. He and his wife, Paula, live in Westlake with their son, David. Dennis is an Associate Professor in the Accountancy Department of The Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. He enjoys golf, reading, cooking and science fiction.
“I am honored to be assigned to St. Christopher’s and look forward to many years serving those in the community.” Deacons provide service in three areas: Liturgy, Word and Charity. As such, his ministry will include assisting at the celebration of Mass, which is the source and summit of our Christian Life, as well as celebrating baptisms, weddings and funerals. In the area of the Ministry of the
Word, Deacon Dennis plans to be active in the parish school and PSR as well as adult education efforts. The area of the Ministry of Charity is include visits and communion calls to parishioners, and participating in various activities throughout the year.
Deacon Tom Long

Deacon Tom is a lifelong parishioner of St. Christopher. His grandparents moved into the parish in the 1920’s and his parents were married here in 1943. He graduated from St. Christopher School, St. Edward High School, and received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Physics from John Carroll University. After working for various corporations throughout the greater Cleveland area, Deacon Tom taught physics at both Benedictine High School and Magnificat High School.
Before ordination to the diaconate, Deacon Tom served as the president of the PTU and as chairman of the Parish Pastoral Council. He also was a lector and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and the Parish Choir of which he is still a member. He was called to Diaconate Formation by Bishop Richard Lennon in the fall of 2006. On May 1, 2010 he was ordained to the sacred order of deacons by Bishop Lennon and assigned to St. Christopher parish.
Deacon Tom was married to his wife Kathy, who passed away on December 30, 2016. He has three children, Brigid, Matt, and Tim who are also graduates of St. Christopher School.

Gayle has been a Pastoral Associate at St. Christopher since 1994. She is a Certified Lay Ecclesial Minister in the Diocese of Cleveland and has her Masters in Ministry from Ursuline College.
Gayle was the chairperson of the St. Christopher and St. Angela Merici Cluster Planning and Coordination Team and serves on the Parish Pastoral Council as the staff liaison. She works in many areas of parish ministry but her specific pastoral responsibilities include ministry with the sick and aging, the homebound, those in nursing homes and hospitals, funeral planning, the bereaved, the separated and divorced and Project Rachael, a ministry for those who seek healing after an abortion. She also authors a bi-monthly newsletter for the parish’s Ministry of Praise. Gayle serves as a procurator for those wishing to petition the tribunal for an invalidity of their marriage following a divorce.
Gayle is a sports fan, especially of basketball, baseball and football at all levels and is particularly fond of women's basketball. She enjoys golfing during the summer.
Director of Music Ministry

Richard studied Sacred Music at Westminster Choir College, Princeton, New Jersey with concentrations in organ and voice. Richard studied organ with Donald McDonald and voice with William Riley.
As a member of the Westminster Symphonic Choir, Mr Gullion concertized with the Philadelphia Orchestra under the direction of famed conductor Ricardo Muti at both Philadephia’s Academy of Music and New York’s Carnegie Hall.
Upon completion of studies, Richard returned to the Cleveland area to begin his career in Sacred Music as organist, choral conductor and composer. Richard has served the Diocese of Cleveland for over 20 years at Our Lady of the Angels, Saint Ignatius of Antioch and Saint Noel.
In 2006, Richard, along with Cleveland area musicians, produced a CD “In Quiet Confidence”Contemplative Instrumentals, featuring organ, cello, flute and oboe. For more information visit www.inquietconfidence.com.

Sharon joined the staff in 2015 as SCS Retreat Coordinator. In 2016, her responsibilities expanded to include PSR Principal, CLOW, RCIC and Vacation Bible School. In 2017 her responsibilities were again expanded and she was named DRE. Sharon is a Certified Lay Ecclesial Minister in the Diocese of Cleveland. She and her husband Tom and their five children have been members of St. Christopher since 1996. Sharon enjoys hiking the Metro Park and spending time with family when she is not coordinating the many programs serving the people of St. Christopher.

Eric Perusek is a local teaching-artist who has worked in an educational capacity for: Playhouse Square, Great Lakes Theater, Cleveland Playhouse, Karamu House, True North Cultural Arts, and the City of Cleveland. He has led classes and professional development sessions for participants ranging from pre-school students to adults. As a volunteer, he has helped plan and facilitate retreats and meetings with the “Families in Christ Jesus” youth group; a community that played a huge role in his faith formation as a teen. Currently, Eric combines his part-time work as a youth minister at St. Christopher with a full-time position in Playhouse Square’s department of community engagement and education. He holds a BA from Cleveland State University, where he double-majored in communications and dramatic arts. Eric is a lifelong Catholic who resides in Parma with his wife, Annie, and two children, Jack and Vivienne. In his spare time, he enjoys fantasy football, watching youtube debates, and learning more about Catholic apologetics.

Dawn is a lifelong resident of the Westshore suburban area and a graduate of John Carroll and Case Western Reserve Universities. Dawn previously managed operations for a non-profit organization supporting adults with developmental disabilities. Most recently she worked at Holy Spirit and St. Joseph Parishes in Avon Lake and is a parishioner at Holy Spirit.

Joe has worked at St. Christopher since June, 2016. He received his Accounting Degree from Walsh University, an MBA from Miami University and is a Certified Public Accountant (Inactive). Prior to joining St. Christopher, Joe had held a number of senior financial and management roles in Northeast Ohio.
Joe and his wife, Lydia, reside in Solon, Ohio where they are long-time members of St. Rita Parish. He sits on St. Rita's Finance Council and has participated in a number of Parish ministries. Joe is also a Board Member of Ohio Catholic Federal Credit Union.
Joe and Lydia have five adult children and several grandchildren.

Kathleen joined the staff at St. Christopher in July, 2016. Her responsibilities include scheduling the liturgical ministers and assisting with the parish database. She has a BS from Miami University and taught 5th, 7th, and 8th grade for 9 years. Since 2006 Kathleen has worked part time at St. Anglea Merici Parish in the business department. She continues her work at St. Angela along with the part time work at St. Christopher. Kathleen, her husband, Tom, and their 5 children have been active members of St. Angela Merici Parish since 1996.

Carol is a long-time member of St. Christopher Parish. She worked in facilities management here at St. Christopher and then at St. Ann Parish (Communion of Saints) in Cleveland Heights for over eight years. She returned to St. Christopher in 2006 and is delighted to be back supporting the parish and is glad to help anyone who has questions or needs information concerning the facilities at the parish.
